Trauma-informed evaluation

SUPPORT FOR YOUR IMMIGRATION JOURNEY

Immigration journeys are deeply personal. They often carry stress, trauma, and resilience. As a trauma-informed, culturally competent therapist, I provide evaluations that are compassionate and thorough. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel respected, heard, and supported.

With advanced training in EMDR and a focus on complex trauma and PTSD, I approach each evaluation with care and sensitivity. Whether in English or Spanish, I honor your story and highlight your strengths while documenting the psychological impact you’ve faced.

Types of Immigration Evaluations Offered

VAWA (Violence Against Women Act)

For individuals regardless of gender who have experienced physical, emotional, sexual, or financial abuse by a U.S. citizen or permanent resident spouse, parent, or child. This evaluation shows the emotional and psychological impact of that abuse.

Asylum

For people fleeing persecution in their home country due to race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or group membership. This evaluation captures your experiences, the emotional impact, and why returning would threaten your safety.

U Visa

For survivors of certain serious crimes who agree to cooperate with law enforcement. This evaluation assesses and documents the emotional harm and trauma you’ve endured and how it has affected your mental and psychological well-being.

Hardship Waivers

For cases where family seperation would cause serious emotional or psychological hardship to a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. This evaluation documents how that separation would affect their mental health, daily functioning, and stability.

T Visa

For survivors of human trafficking. This evaluation gives voice to your journey by documenting trauma, coercion, abuse, and the lasting psychological effects of your experience, along with your strength and resilience.

Cancellation of Removal

For individuals in deportation proceedings who need to show that their removal would cause exceptional hardship to a U.S. citizen or permanent resident family member. This evaluation helps describe the emotional and psychological impact.

The benefits of an evaluation

GET A CLEAR CLINICAL PERSPECTIVE

Immigration is more than a legal case. It is a human story of trauma, separation, and resilience. A psychological evaluation can give courts a clear view of the emotional and mental health impact.

Evaluations can:

  • Strengthen your attorney’s case

  • Show the impact of hardship on mental health

  • Provide culturally competent insights USCIS and judges can understand

  • Connect your history and symptoms directly to your claim
